La Batalla — The story behind our Pilot watches

In Puerto Rico, two birds share the same sky: the pitirre—small, fast, relentless—and the guaraguao, the island's steady hawk. The pitirre chases something many times its size. The guaraguao holds its place, calm and unshaken.

From this came a saying passed down through generations:

"A cada guaraguao le llega su pitirre."

Every guaraguao has its pitirre. Nothing is too big to be challenged. One challenges. One endures. Both follow their nature.

This story inspired our Pilot watches, each one designed around the character of its bird. Part of our fully custom line, and because we're an island, built with 300 meters of water resistance.

• Case:  42 mm sandblasted finish with a Titanium Carbide PVD Hard Coating (to resist attacks from the Pitirre bird)

• Crystal: 2.8 mm flat sapphire with AR coating. Raised edge beveled at 45°
• Strap: Pilot-style leather with rivets
• Back cover: Solid and engraved with a drawing of local artist and co-founder of Santurce, Anita
• Movement: Miyota 9075 automatic, regulated in 6 positions
